Winter Storm Warning

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 4 am PST Sunday...

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for the west slopes of
the north and central Washington Cascades until 4 am PST Sunday.

Snow showers will continue through Saturday night. The overall
snow level where snow will stick should remain between 3000 and
3500 feet... but occasional bursts of heavy snow may bring snow
down as low as 2500 feet before it melts. With the snow expected
to come above 2500 to 3000 feet. These heavier bursts of snow may
drop a couple of inches of snow in a single hour. Snow showers are
expected to increase Saturday afternoon when another more
organized area of showers reaches the Cascades.

Through early Sunday morning... total snow accumulation will range
as high as two feet or more near Mount Rainier and Mount Baker.
Lesser amounts will fall in the Highway passes... but amounts of 6
to 12 or more inches are still expected at Snoqualmie and Stevens
passes. White Pass should receive between one and two feet of
snow. Gusty winds could also cause blowing and drifting of snow.

A winter storm warnings means severe winter weather is occurring
or imminent. Those planning travel in the warned area should be
prepared for hazardous... winter driving conditions and plan
accordingly.
