Expect 5 to 10 inches of new snow in the Cascades tonight as a trough moves through western Washington. Cooler air aloft will drop the snow level to 2000 feet. Snow showers will likely be enhanced by the Puget Sound convergence zone later this evening. A foot of new snow is possible west of Stevens Pass if the convergence zone sets up and persists.
